our philosophy

Care That Honors the Whole Person

Lake County Care Collective was founded in response to a recognized need for care that honors the emotional, psychological, physical, spiritual, and relational dimensions of life — while supporting providers in practicing ethically, sustainably, and humanely.

Too often, systems of care ask individuals to fragment themselves — treating emotional pain separately from psychological experience, bodily responses, relationships, culture, or spiritual meaning. We believe healing and growth happen most fully when all of these dimensions are integrated and respected.

Our approach is trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and grounded in the understanding that healing is not linear, rushed, or one-size-fits-all. Each person’s values, beliefs, and lived experiences are always respected.

April Wazny & Jennifer Rieck, co-founders of Lake County Care Collective, are re-envisioning the way private practice is done. In an effort to better support clinicians and clients, LCCC is forming a network of holistic care providers who are individual practice owners. Together, clinicians work closely and collaboratively to support clients, while remaining in full control of their business. Providers in the LCCC network are able to offer comprehensive and streamlined, whole-person care from their own private practice while receiving the support and resources of a group practice.
