about

L&K Acres

At L&K Acres, our mission is rooted in compassion, healing, and a deep connection to both animals and people. Founded by Kimberly Echtle, this space was created from a lifelong passion for rehabilitating animals and supporting others through meaningful, therapeutic experiences.
L&K Acres, located in Woodstock, IL, is home to three horses, three dogs, and two cats — with plans to welcome two Highland cows in the near future. Each animal plays a role in creating a calm, nurturing environment where both people and animals can thrive together.
With a professional background in the mental health field, Kim understands the powerful bond between humans and animals and how that connection can foster healing, growth, and peace. This passion extends beyond people to animals in need — providing care, rehabilitation, and a second chance at a better life.
Whether working with individuals or caring for animals, Kim’s goal is simple: to create a place where healing happens naturally — through trust, patience, and the beauty of the human-animal connection.
